Children’s Author
A prominent Emirati writer, novelist, and poet, specializing in children's literature. Badria Al Shamsi holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Science from the Higher Colleges of Technology and is a graduate of the Media Leadership Program at the Dubai School of Government.
Her career began at Dubai Media Incorporated, where she served as the Information Technology Director before joining the Community Development Authority.
She started publishing after winning first place in the sixth short story competition organized by the Ministry of Culture in 2014 for her collection "Ambitious Mirror." Since then, she has authored several children's books, such as "The Flying Fish" and "Water is Looking for Color." Additionally, she debuted in novel writing with "Other Selves," published under the Dubai International Program For Writing, sponsored by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
